celebrated on the 24th.• Families will celebrate with

shooting off fireworks at midnight even though they are banned.

• Christmas is the most important celebration of the year among Peruvians.

• La Bajada de los Reyes was the arrival of the three wise men on January 6, and when the children got gifts.

• One of the most traditional foods is turkey and apple sauce.

• Another is plum pudding, tamal, (buritto like wraps) and paneton.

Nativity Nativity • The nativity sets are put out by many

people and are left out until La Bjeda de los Reyes, Enero y seis when the three wise men arrive. Nativity scenes with Retablos inside were very popular.

Santa ClausSanta Claus• Santa Claus is part of the Peru culture. • Except he does not wear the heavy suit like in

America.• The summer starts in Deciembre that’s why he

does not wear the suit.
