The vacant land is under construction. The school will have perimeter wall, guard house, hygienic external toilet facilities and a proper gate on the rest of the land.

Primary School A

The school is remote and students and staff needs to travel a long distance on the road leading to the school. Without proper drainage and gravel road, the path

becomes muddy and slippery on bad weather conditions.

• Serve a community of 10 villages in the vicinity

Primary School B

The challenges• This school is located in the remote countryside. • 95% of teachers live in the city and cycle 1 hour to go to school.

Most of students need to cycle 1-1.5 hours every day.• Most of teachers and students bring home-cooked food to school or

eat at the food stalls near the school. Without proper regulation of hygiene, students and teachers who consume contaminated food are frequently affected by bouts of food poisoning.

• To alleviate the problem, the school has proposed to the local town government for financial support to build a dining room and kitchen. The new facility will serve as a canteen to provide meals for staff and students. They have made three attempts but without avail. Left on their own, the school could not afford the new facility. The available fund is only sufficient to cover school operating costs.
