Synthesis of Phosphorus-Carbon Cage Compounds byCocyclooligomerization Processes. — The novel phosphorus-carboncage compounds (III) and (V) are prepared by thermolysis of (I) and (IV) to givethe corresponding phosphinidine derivatives in situ followed by reaction withthe phosphaalkynes (II). A reaction mechanism is described.
