The original & most impressive producer of both Pinot Noir & Chardonnay in the cool Walker Bay region. With terrific purity & intensity & unmistakable old world elegance, combined
with lightly tropical notes & a mineral edge, it’s quite simply a knock-out.

141 Sevilen 900 Fume Blanc 2010 £49.50 Izmir, Turkey
Grape: %100 Sauvignon Blanc “I would strongly suggest you arm yourself with many bottles of Sevilen, 900 Fumé Blanc 2010. This is the second vintage of this bone dry, super-
refreshing Sauvignon Blanc grown on the limestone/clay Guney plateau inland from Izmir &
would be an absolute godsend on a hot day in Turkey. It reminds me rather of PHI Sauvignon
Blanc from a particularly cool part of the Yarra Valley. Searing acidity but quite enough fruit
too. ” Jancis Mary Robinson OBE, MW, British Wine Critic

Barons de Rothschild, Medoc
Légende Médoc is made with all the care & attention that goes into the making of a Grand Cru. The (mainly Cabernet Sauvignon) grapes come from selected plots & are required to
meet the highest standards: yields are strictly limited – only perfectly ripe, healthy grapes
that have reached optimum maturity are used. Ageing takes place in barrel. Légende Médoc
offers the wine drinker all the hallmarks of a Cabernet Sauvignon dominated Bordeaux,
without the need for long ageing.
203 Justerini & Brooks, Pomerol, NV £55.00
Jean-Pierre Moueix, Pomerol
Justerini & Brooks Pomerol is produced by J P Moueix - who knows a thing or two about making great Pomerol; after all they are responsible for La Fleur Petrus, Hosanna,
Providence, Trotanoy & Certan de May. This is typically generous & seductive, with a
delightfully plumy, soft fruit core. An eminently approachable wine, yet it doesn't lack
complexity or structure. A classic & utterly delicious Pomerol.
281 Château Cissac 2006 £60.00
Cru Bourgeois, Haut Medoc
Almost opaque with a bright purple rim, very ripe blackcurrant on the nose & a hint of morello cherry. Unexpectedly pure & refined on the palate, this delicious 2006 that competes
well above its price bracket. This old favourite is truly back on top form.
255 Château Peyre-Lebade 2010 £62.50
Cru Bourgeois Haut Medoc
Château Peyre-Lebade wines feature the fruity & fleshy characteristics specific to the Haut-Médoc appellation. They are nonetheless distinguished by the high Merlot content, which
makes them particularly supple. From Benjamin de Rothschild.

It is a very serious wine indeed – as anyone who is a collector of fine wine will recognize instantly. Great concentration of colour & fruit & plenty of supple tannins to give maturity &

selection & assemblage in the cellars.
247 Château La Fleur Pomeaux 2007 £85.00
Pomerol
®
The 2007 Pomeaux is the finest effort I ever tasted from this small, American owned, Pomerol
estate. Displaying copious quantities of red & black fruits in a juicy, crunchy format, it
possesses medium to full body, adequate acidity, & ripe, silky tannins. Enjoy this plump, pure,
nuanced, tasty 2007 during its first 12-15 years of life. The Wine Advocate (R.Parker)

long, rounded finish. 93 points from Robert Parker.
290 Château Gruaud Larose 2007 £106.00
2nd Growth Grand Cru Classé, Saint-Julien Herbaceous, meaty, sweaty saddle leather notes along with plum & black currant fruit are
present in this mid-weight St.-Julien. There are also some raspy tannins in the finish. Drink it
earlier rather than later because of the potential for it to dry out.
266 Château Pomeaux 2005 £125.00
Pomerol “The blackberry, black licorice & raspberry on the nose are superenticing. Full-bodied, with a
solid core of ripe fruit & very silky tannins. This is dense & focused. Tightly knit, like a small
ball of cashmere yarn.
285 Château Clos Louie 2005 £135.00

289 Château l’Eglise-Clinet 2003 £265.00 Pomerol
This is a grand vin de garde, without a doubt. Made from 90% Merlot & 10% Cabernet Franc,
the wine has great power & depth, with super-ripe cassis & violets on the surface & big smoky
tannins beneath.
300 Château Clos l'Église-Clinet 2001 £320.00 Pomerol
It blasts off with an explosive perfume with touches of vanilla, roasted blackberries & coffee.
Thick, rich & dense palate feel. Very concentrated. Some tannin remains. Long, sensual
finish.
309 Château Ducru Beaucaillou 2003 £350.00
2nd Growth Grand Cru Classé, Saint-Julien One of the most compelling Ducru Beaucaillou’s made in the last quarter century is the 2003
(which is also the first vintage to be packaged in an impressive heavy glass bottle with a
special long cork). A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon & 20% Merlot, it is a powerful, tannic,
blockbuster effort revealing a liqueur of mineral-like component intermixed with creme de
cassis, raspberry, & flower characteristics, & an atypically high 13.5% alcohol. Having firmed
up considerably since bottling, it exhibits tremendous definition, weight, & concentration. It is
a wine for patient connoisseurs. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2025+. A brilliant tour de force!
96 Parker Points.
305 Château Gruaud Larose 1982 £515.00
2ième Cru Classé, Saint-Julien
Good deep red. Very complex, perfumed aromas of plum, leather, meat & minerals. Sweet,
lush & young; really stuffed with fat, meaty fruit. Finishes with big, ripe tannins & palate-
staining sweet fruit. 98 Parker Points.
306 Château Cos d'Estournel 1982 £565.00
2ième Grand Cru Classé, Saint-Estèphe
The 1982 is atypically thick, super-concentrated, rich & powerful. The tannin is more
aggressive, but the wine still reveals that fabulous inner-core of sweet, jammy, blackcurrant
& black-cherry fruit. There is considerable glycerin & body in this immensely promising
example of Cos d'Estournel. 95+ Parker Points.
284 Château Mouton Rothschild 1989 £750.00
1er Cru Classé, Pauillac The 1989 displays a dark ruby colour that is already beginning to reveal significant lightening
at the edge. The bouquet is surprisingly evolved, offering up scents of cedar, sweet black
fruits, lead pencil, & toasty oak. This elegant, medium-bodied restrained wine is beautifully
made, stylish, & not dissimilar to the 1985. It is an excellent to outstanding Mouton that
should be close to full maturity in 4-5 years; it will drink well for 15-20. 90 Parker Points.
304 Château Pétrus 1995 £2250.00
Pomerol Unquestionably one of the vintage’s superstar, the Petrus 1995is taking on a personality
similar to the extraordinarily backward, muscular 1975. This is not a Petrus that could be
approached in its youth (i.e., the perfect duo of 1989 & 1990). The wine exhibits an opaque
ruby/purple colour followed by a knockout nose of toast, jammy black fruits, & roasted coffee.
On the palate, it possesses teeth-staining extract levels, massive body, & rich, sweet black
fruits buttressed by powerful, noticeable tannin. A formidably endowed wine with layers of
extract, this is huge, tannic, monstrous-size Petrus that will last for 50+ years. 95+ Parker
Points.
