Next Steps…

Now is no time to rest or take a break from advocating for public education.

We need to remobilize, make contact, especially with Republican legislators, and let them hear clearly and often that we do not intend to stand idly by while they attempt to nullify the wishes of the majority of Hoosier voters.

Next Steps…

Legislators should be made aware that the Superintendent reports to, but does not answer to, an appointed board.

She answers to the voters that confidently and enthusiastically placed her in office. Many of those voters are parents of children, which makes them highly invested stakeholders.

Next steps…

Please take a moment to find the email address for your representatives.  Send them correspondence stating your expectations. It doesn't have to be long or detailed.

Legislators keep a keen eye on the "number" of messages and the "wishes" of the sender.  They understand that anyone caring enough to take time to email or write most surely will make their wishes known at the ballot box.

If you know the district numbers for legislators you wish to contact, you can reach representatives at h(72)@in.gov and senators at s(district#)@in.gov

Contact information is also available at the Indiana General Assembly website.
