CATTLE FARMING

BREED OF CATTLE

We farm with Black Angus crosses. The mother

line is African Nguni mated to Black Angus

bulls.

The ranch is located in a very mountainous

area, in the Great Karoo in the Eastern Cape,

South Africa.

Thus, cattle are required to be able to climb

high mountains in search for food in sometimes

very harsh & trying conditions.

A smaller framed beast, like the Nguni cross is

able to do so with ease. Nguni’s are hardy

animals with very high fertility rates.

We take great pride and pleasure in farming

with these animals.

All our cattle are grass fed and steroid free.

It is a time of year where all the local cattle ranchers get together and assist with the annual KAROO RANCHING cattle drive.

Here, you will meet the most authentic stock men & women of the South African outback and be let into their worlds for a brief few

days. This event is suited for both experienced & inexperienced riders.
