OBJECTIVES

Introduction cardiogenic shock definitionSymptomsCausesClinical ManifestationDiagnosisTreatment

Introduction

shock or hypoperfussion is inability of circulatory system to supply oxygen to the cells physiological cause of the shock the heart falling to pump. low supply volume .and increased capacity of blood vessels to contain the blood there is too great to be filled with blood.

Introduction

Non vital organs

Vital organs

Hypovolemic shock

Cardiogenic shock

Septic Shock

Cardiogenic shock is a condition in which your heart suddenly can't pump enough blood to meet your body's needs. The condition is most often caused by a severe heart attack.

Cardiogenic shock

• It is a life-threatening medical condition resulting from an inadequate circulation of blood due to primary failure of the ventricles of the heart to function effectively

• also cardiogenic shock is defined by sustained low blood pressure with tissue hypoperfusion despite adequate left ventricular filling pressure

Causes of Cardiogenic Shock

Immediate Causes

•Cardiogenic shock occurs if the heart suddenly can't pump enough oxygen-rich blood to the body. The most common cause of cardiogenic shock is damage to the heart muscle from a severe heart attack.•This damage prevents the heart’s main pumping chamber, the left ventricle from working well. As a result, the heart can't pump enough oxygen-rich blood to the rest of the body

What is the symptoms of

cadiogenic shock ?

Clinical Manifestation

That will cause

Increased respiratory rate

Decrease heart rate

Decrease urine output

decreased level of consciousness

That because we have decrease in the pressure that cause decrease oxygenation that means our brain non getting O2 so your brain will breaks down

Decrease pressure Decrease perfusion or O2

What about our brain ?

Diagnosis

Treatment

Provide the patient with Oxygenation

Treatment

Systemic vascular resistant that means the blood vessels can carry the blood for better and this can be don bye deferent medication cal vasopressor (nor epinephrine , epinephrine . Dopamine

Increase heart contractility. For this also we can use Epinephrine and Nor epinephrineBecause they activate Beta1 receptor and this receptor increase metabolic activity and this can open calcium Chanel which cause the depolarization which increase the heart rate .

To prevent

Have a healthy heart

Thanks to all of you for your attention
