Carbon Credits 101- what the scientists tell us -

• Carbon is stored in the roots of the plant. When you don’t disturb those roots, the carbon that is stored is worth something to someone who wants to offset their emissions.

• Government is responding to pressure from society to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases

give farmers the chance to participate?
