SCC Annual
Thanksgiving Dinner Hey Folks, it’s that time of the year again to plan
for our most attended event. A great time to
celebrate with all the members and give thanks for
another great year. Based on our great feedback for
three years in a row, we will again celebrate at
Nino’s in Stuart. (2500 SE Federal Hwy. in the
Regency Square Plaza) He will prepare a massive
Turkey buffet with all the basic fixings' like last
year, with plenty of time to socialize before dinner.
The event is scheduled Sunday, November 13th
with a cash bar cocktail hour from 5PM to 6PM
and dinner at 6PM. Once again, the Board
negotiated a great fee and your contribution is only
$10 per person with SCC picking up the balance of
the cost for our dinner. It’s still a great value for a
wonderful time. Al DeLong will again be
collecting funds for the event. Please contact or
respond to him DIRECTLY at
adelong649@bellsouth.net with any questions and
plans to attend. Checks are to be made out to
The Stuart Corvette Club and mailed to Al
DeLong, 1728 SW Mockingbird Dr. Port St.
Lucie, FL 34986. Because of the size of this event,
all checks and reservations must be received by Al
before November 5th, to allow the restaurant time
to prepare for us. No exceptions can be made after
this date. Looking forward to seeing all of you
there for another great event! AND DON’T FORGET to bring your canned and
packaged foods for our “Treasure Coast Food
Bank” annual drive to help others less fortunate
than us to celebrate as well! Let’s make it another
record breaking year! Thanks to All.

When purchasing a battery for your vehicle there are three things to look for. The reserve capacity (RC), cold cranking amps (CCA), and the amp hours (AH). The RC is the number of minutes a fully charged battery at 80 degrees Fahrenheit will discharge 25 amps until the battery drops below 10.5 volts. The CCA is the rating that identifies your battery's ability to start in cold climates. The AH measures the battery capacity by multiplying the amount of amps by the hours of discharge. For best results you should replace the battery with the original manufacturer specifications.

VETTES ON THE AVENUE MELBOURNE FLORIDA SHOW
Twenty-four Stuart Corvettes made their way to Melbourne on October 22, 2016 for the 14th Annual Vettes On the Avenue Corvette show. Cloudless skies and low humidity made it the perfect day for being outside. Total Corvette count for the show was 172, a record number for the Space Coast Corvette Club show. Stuart Corvette Club was runner-up in the club participation race to Cape Kennedy C.C. who showed up with 32 cars. We decided to give back the $50 award to the charity of the show, Honor Flight. Honor Flight honors those veterans who served during WWII.

Brunch with Barry Hi Everyone,
What a great one we had this month. I listened to the Herr's and chose to take the
group to KeKe's Restaurant off Darwin Road in Port Saint Lucie. I had 23 guests
with me this month and we all enjoyed the setting and the food. The staff made
sure our orders were taken before the rush hour and the manager seated us all
together.
I had been here twice before and was a little worried that we would overwhelm
the kitchen, but that was not the case. So if you are looking for a special place for
breakfast, try KeKe's. You will not be sorry.
So until next time, Great Friends, Great Cars, Life is Good.
