“I promised myself that when the time came in 1993 for Dire Straits to finish touring, I would take up my other passion painting, to fill the inevitable vacuum.Little did I realise that what I initially considered a hobby very quickly became an integral part of my life”.

cosmopolitan, painter, musician, author and philosopher.Travels the world exhibiting his paintings and leading philosophical talks. Some people refer to him as “socrates of modern times”.It was karls idea to do this joint show toghether with raphael and john - three friends that share one passion -they are “brothers in art”

born in washington, lived in new york, san francisco, los angeles, where he was art teacher and, after studying acting, worked as an actor in theater and film.Moved to berlin in 1983. Works as freelance painter since then. He also is university lecturer with main focus on therapeutic work with autistic children.
