We are anticipating a ‘Multi-Purpose Field’; and what this means is our children will
have the opportunity to play soccer, football, and baseball all on the same field! There
will also be an outdoor trackoutdoor trackoutdoor trackoutdoor track!
We expect this project to be finished by October 3rd!

On September 10th, 2014, the Bronx YMCA held its eighth annual Bon Appetit Fundraiser featuring tasting and networking opportunities
from all over the Bronx. Honorees in attendance were Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., Sandra Erickson of Sandra Erickson Real Es-
tate, Inc., Louise Sedotto, Principal of PS 76, Oriquidea Andreyev of Caridad Restaurant, and Baron Ambrosia of Fornal Films LLC. With raising
over $12,000 in ticket sales alone, the event was a major success!
The Annual Campaign is a YMCA initiative to raise money to help families and individuals participate in the many programs offered at the
facility. Although Bon Appetit is our largest fundraiser for the year, we accept donations all year round, and any amount really does make a
difference. In 2013, the Bronx Y was able to raise over $170,000! These funds help low income individuals to open up memberships,
adults and children learn to swim, and it also helps send hundreds of kids to Summer Day Camp and After School programs.
Your charitable support is tax deductible and helps keep the Y accessible for those who need us most.

Lights On Afterschool!
On October 24th, we will be hosting
Lights on Afterschool at P.S 14 at 4pm!
Lights On Afterschool is the only nationwide event
celebrating afterschool programs and their important
role in the lives of children, families, and communities.
The effort has become a hallmark of the afterschool
movement and generates media coverage across the
country each year.
The Afterschool Alliance organizes Lights On After-
school to draw attention to the many ways afterschool
programs support students by offering them opportu-
nities to learn new things—such as science, communi-
ty service, robotics, Tae Kwon Do and poetry—and
discover new skills. This event sends a powerful mes-
sage that millions of children need quality afterschool
programs.
P.S 14 is located on 3041 Bruckner Boulevard Bronx, NY 10461
