think of a topic or a technology that has seen

so much debate, so many presentations, and an

industry so far behind the wave!

The death of a really dumb question ?

Why do people want ‘X’ Mbit/s at home and what will they do with it ?

The death of an old model and way of thinking ?

★ Time, Distance, Bandwidth - are irrelevant

★ Network optimisation - is the kiss of death

★ Limiting downloads - is plain dumb

★ Restricting access in any way - is even dumber

★ Wasting bandwidth - is a positive act

★ 1M, 10M, 100M, 1G, 10G - cost the same

★ Connectivity - outguns everything else

★ The money - is in services and the meta data

A well established dependence !

The internet has evolved into the nervous

system of the planet in a way the telephone

network could could never do...

Power ing the g loba l economy - heal th & wellbeing off nations

We learn’t a lot from the root technology - but it cannot be extended to what we now need....

A world with everything is on line - and the human race become insignificant communicators

Global, local and transient clouds where people, things and networks are mobile, wireless - and spontaneous connections are the norm

This is not a world that is asymmetric - it is a world where everyone and thing has a lot to say

This is not a world that will accept delays and queueing - it has to be faster than the human

Traffic jams & pile ups will kill commerce & progress - it will all grind to a halt
