Brief 3 Interior Design Year Book
The Brief
Develop the concept and design for an A1 folded Year Book poster and PDF for Year 3 Interior Design students
Products | Printed A1 format, fold down to 210mmx210mm | Interactive PDF to upload to LCA website.
Concept and Tone of Voice
The Concept developed at the second meeting when I asked Alison for an Architectural Drawing and to demonstrate the special folds it uses. We did question using this fold at one point as unless you were an Interior Designer or Architect the fold was not a ‘natural’ fold however the decision was made to go with it. The target audience for the Yearbook was promotion to Prospective Studios and Architects.

Poster design development
We had asked each Interior Design student to provide three words which sum up what the course and design means to them. I collated all the words from the student forms and came up with some initial designs based on the original letterpress/Victorian poster inspiration provided by the students.
The rest of the team wanted to use just the Gotham font so I redesigned using different weights of Gotham. We left the final design choice to Alison and Steve. They chose Baljeet’s as they liked the use of dots and the space she had created.
The designs below represent my design development
