A bit about me…

My background is a mixture of therapy and corporate HR. In the early ‘90s I was practicing

hypnotherapy and NLP in my practice in London’s Covent Garden, as well as doing voluntary work

with a clinic that specialized in supporting substance misusers with HIV in Brixton. These were

challenging and rewarding times.

However, international travel beckoned and I moved to Hong Kong. That was the beginning of 18

years of travelling and a very successful career in Human Resources, which led me to the UAE

(where I now reside) and Azerbaijan.

Much as I loved my work in HR, the branch I was in, (international recruitment in the Oil and Gas

industry) is extremely stressful and I would often find myself struggling to keep all the balls in the

air.

I was frustrated with the corporate way of life, so I decided it was time to re-evaluate my career. I

had recently finished a contract in Baku, and was part way through a Master’s in Global Human

Resource Management. What did I want to do for the rest of my life?
