DESCRIPTION

The animation shows the procedure of a young man’s self awareness of getting rid of hoarding cosmeceuticals in a humorous way.

TRANSCRIPT

The alarm woke up the sleeping man and a morning began during the quarantine time. After bathing suddenly he found an acne on his nose and bursted into anxiety and smeared all kinds of anti-acne wcosmetics he hoarded before. Instead of solving problem it backfired.

I decided that I wanted to tell this story through stop motion animation. I had always love this medium but it was a great challenge for me because I had never done it before, and I had no idea how to take my original drawings and bring them back to life and also needed to get the personality coming out inside of the puppet. So I searched the resources on youtube, instagram and other sites to learn how to make it.

STEP I PREPERATIONS

BACKDROPBACKDROP RACK SHOOTING TABLE

STUDIO FLASH LIGHT FLASH TRIGGER

CONNECTING CORDCAMERA & BATTERY

REFLECTOR TRIPOD LAPTOP

The story started in the morning ,so the puppet needed to have a messy hair, and after he desperately smearing all the acne remover on his face his hair got even more messy.

In the end of the animation we will see him came back to normal ,a precise and neat gentleman.

STEP II CHARACTOR DESIGN

I also chose available light color fabric from home to make his pajama, because I wanted the audience pay more attention to his face and the surrounding.

I did not want to leave my fringer print on his face,so I decided to use stone clay for his face and adman clay which is soft for his body.

STEP III: THE MINI WORLD

The varieties of bottles were the cosmetics he horaded.

Most of them were made by stone clay and light weight clay,bec-uase that would be easy to shape and color.

I also purchased some ready made online, however it turned out to be not very ideal and useful.
