The 80 km long „Tauernbahn“ from Schwarzach-St.Veit to Spital-Millstättersee is

the transport backbone for cross alpine transit.

With the completion of the Kolbnitz-Pusarnitz section in 2009 a total of 85% (69 of 80 km)

of the „Tauernbahn“ is now in double track configuration.
