What it takes to get certain scholarships...

Josip and Agnete Temali Scholarship- $4,000 provided by Saint Paul Foundation, applicants must be seniors who have been actively involved in Big Brothers and Big Sisters in St. Paul with in the past 2 years and are U.S. citizens.

Robert Michel Big Brother/ Big Sister Award- This scholarship is awarded to a student participating in the Big Brother and Big Sister program.

When it was founded and how to help..

It was founded in 1904. People can make a donation, become a donor, potential Big Brother and Sister, partner, advocate, or family member.

Who do they help?

This program helps children between the ages 6 and 18 in all 50 states and internationally like Bulgaria, Cayman Islands, Israel, Trinidad, Netherlands, etc..

From the research of Big Brothers and Big Sisters Foundation, we learned what a difference becoming a mentor can make for a child. Besides the fact that you can get a scholarship, you can really help a child who needs the encouragement, or just a good friend. This program doesn’t just help a child, but it helps the person mentoring them by giving them the satisfaction of helping someone who needed it.
