Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.

Romans 5: 1-2

“Grace, particularly that which causes joy, pleasure, gratification, favour, acceptance, for a kindness granted or desired, a benefit, thanks, gratitude…the absolutely free expression of the loving kindness of God to men finding its only motive in the bounty and benevolence of the Giver; unearned and unmerited favour. It changes the individual to a new creature without destroying his individuality.”

What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! Romans 6: 1-6

Some things in our lives need to hear a loud “no longer”

Point 1:

For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

Romans 6:14

The power to live out a lasting “no longer” can’t be found under the law

Point 2:

“You are not under law but under grace”

“a mental and emotional disorder that affects only part of the personality, is accompanied by a less distorted perception of reality than in a psychosis…does not result in disturbance of the use of language, and is accompanied by various physical, psychological, and mental disturbances (as visceral symptoms, anxieties or phobias).” (Merriam-Webster 2003)

Neurosis:

Be kind to one another; tender-hearted, forgiving (GK *charίzomai) one another as God in Christ forgave (GK* charίzomai) you.

Ephesians 4:32

2 Thessalonians 3:14 Take special note of anyone who does not obey our instruction in this letter. Do not associate with them, in order that they may feel ashamed.

Titus 3:10 Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them.

Matthew 18:17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a

pagan or a tax collector.

This hope will not disappoint us.

It’s time we no longer see our lives under any heading but “Grace”

Point 3:

But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith.

Romans 3:21-29

Let’s trade our “no longer worthy” for “I’m no longer the same”.

This was to demonstrate his righteousness, because God in his forbearance had passed over the sins previously committed.

Above the ark were the cherubim of the Glory, overshadowing the atonement cover. But we cannot discuss these things in detail now.

We will see the face of Grace and need grace to bear the beauty.

“Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.”
