The photograph shows Empress Alexandra Fyodorovna with Tatyana, the second of her four

daughters.

The frame was presented to Nicholas II's sister, Grand Duchess Ksenia Alexandrovna, by the royal

couple.

On the reverse is the inscription, "From Niki and Alix. 1898."
