and practices that support the process of continuous learning.

A Learning Organisation is a term given to a company that creates a Learning

Culture for their employees by facilitating them to improve each day.

Why is having a

Learning

Organisation

important?

If an organisation does not facilitate the growth of their employees, the

employees do not have the opportunity to

grow their organisation.

How do

create, develop

and maintain a

Learning Culture?

• Create learning opportunities• Provide coaching & mentoring• Support employee development• Provide feedback to learners• Measure & assess learning performance• Align individual growth to organisational needs

What challenges

could there be

in having a

Learning Culture?

• Having an employee not motivated to learn• Having an employee who feels they know it all• Unmotivated staff negatively influencing other staff who are prepared to learn • Finding time to conduct learning• Extra associated costs with training e.g. Wages• Having the right person to conduct the learning

How can we build a

Learning Culture

organisation?

• Make learning fun & interesting• Make training relevant to each employee • Reward learners with opportunities to use their learnt skills • Budget funding to support increased learning• Set allocated time for learning and mentoring• Encourage employees to learn from their mistakes

• Employees are more engaged with their organisation • Atmosphere in the work place is alive & progressive • Employees are willing to take on more responsibilities to showcase their new learnt skills • The team as a whole attempts to be better than their organisations competitors
