Communicate Luminate Online offers a sophisticated tool to communicate with your
constituents. Create specific Email Campaigns to send targeted
messages, such as an End of Year Appeal, Event Invitation and/or
Advocacy Alert. Remember to always include a clear call to action and
don't forget to say thank you!
Connect on a regular basisIt's important to communicate at least once a month with your email list
so that you can cultivate a relationship with your constituents and
maintain interest in your organization's mission. One of the best ways to
cultivate constituent relationships is through a monthly eNewsletter.
6 Lay Out the Welcome MatMany major and institutional donors begin their relationship with an organization by either signing up to receive
an eNewsletter or by making a one-time gift. Cultivate those relationships. Effective organizations create and
use an automated Welcome Series/Donor Series to do just that. Create a Welcome Series for people who have
signed up to receive an eNewsletter, first-time donors, monthly donors, and even new event participants.

Build A Monthly Giving Program Every year, we see more and more donors deepen their charitable
support by moving from giving a one-time gift to a sustaining monthly
gift. Sustaining gift programs provide organizations with a consistent
and predictable income – revenue that you
can count on. Add a monthly sustaining
gift option to an existing donation form
or create a separate form.
Clean Data Is Good Data. Now that you are using Luminate Online, its important to
develop and implement internal data management procedures.
How is your organization managing the cleanliness of its database?
Are there required fields that you want to make sure every constituent
record includes? How often are you checking for and resolving
duplicate records? How are you managing inactive constituents?
By creating a data management plan, you will improve email
deliverability, see better results from targeted messages,
and raise (and save) more money.

Get Started EarlyWe encourage organizations to launch their TeamRaiser events 4-6 months prior to the event date. This gives
