What is Blackboard?

• Blackboard is software that allows educational institutions to create and host

courses on the Internet. Courses created with Blackboard software can serve

as entire online courses (fully online) or as a supplement to traditional classroom

courses (hybrid or web-enhanced)

• You can use Blackboard to design and organize materials similar to those

used in classroom courses, such as lessons, reading lists, learning

objectives, assessments, and assignments.
