Schools and Colleges

Mobile phones are very popular nowadays. In today’s world we can hardly expect any life without mobile phones. Mobile phones are of great use in today’s world. They changed the face of the Earth. But everything has a positive side as well as a negative side. Many students have diverted their mind to mobile phones leaving studies behind. This has resulted in degradation of the result of students. Even parents are lost in their own cell phones and do not worry about their children. So in this presentation we will discuss how mobile phones had an impact on our lives and how can we solve it.

Effects of Mobile Phones

Students who are willing to study lose their brains after using these fancy gadgets.

Parents can’t give time to their children as they are always busy in Cell Phones.

Continuous use of mobile phones can lead to severe headaches and fever.

Many people use their phones continuously which results in the lost of eyesight.

My thought on “Should mobile phones be banned in schools and colleges?”I do not believe that cell phones should be allowed in schools and colleges. I think they are distracting and make people okay with doing nothing. I also think they are stunting children’s social development. Today, almost any parent can use a cellphone to ask their children about their whereabouts, occupation, or health. At the same time, most parents can remember the days when cellphones simply did not exist, and children were factually left on their own for at least half of the day. I believe cellphones today pose a great distraction for students—especially higher-end smartphones that provide numerous opportunities for entertainment—and thus should be prohibited from use in schools; but at the same time, I stand for not prohibiting cellphones from students’ possession entirely, since they allow parents to monitor their children’s safety.

The first and foremost reason why cellphones should be prohibited from use in schools is that they pose a significant disruption in the educational process. The most obvious manifestation of such disruption is cheating during exams or other testing methods; access to the Internet, electronic books, and consulting with peers through mobile Skype right from the classroom. Phone rings, incoming message signals, and games interfere with the educational process by distracting teachers and students from classes. Even if the sound is turned off, a phone’s vibration still distracts students. Another reason for prohibiting cellphones in classes is an increased temptation for students to communicate with friends instead of focusing on study material.
