This is a letterbox! It’s spacious enough to hold a few parcels and the wind will not sweep letters away nor will the rain wash them. It saves the postie the xtra 5km dirt

track to the farm. Quite good, eh?

• Bullet holes are quite common in these areas. Every self-respecting man owns a gun, or two, or three – for fun, shooting rabbits, foxes,and roos, of course.

• Waddaye think, we are not America!

• Enjoy the freedom we got here in OZ. Nobody is nicking the postal goodies anyway, to hell with regulations!

• • We get creative with

our letterbox magic.

• The shelter on the right protects the kiddies from the

weather. No, our parcels are not that big!

If I remember correctly, that’s the import from the US,

stating it had approval by the US post office.

• That’s it folks. Hope you had some fun. Inevitably the bad habits of the world will catch up with us down under. All this variety will probably make way for a narrow range of approved designs which will have to be lockable of course. In the meantime, I’ll keep enjoying and collecting the weird and wonderful designs of this Great Southern Civilization.
