Confluence: How to get permissions to delete a

page

If you want to know how to get permissions to delete a page in a specific Space, please follow the next steps:

1. Go to "Spaces" - "Space directory".

2. Click on the Space that you want to delete a page from.

3. Click on the "Space tools" button.

4. In the "Space Tools" menu choose "Permissions" tab.

5. Check if the group has some permission.

1.Look at any group you like and check if people in this group have access to deleting some pages in the Space. In this particular case, let us choose the group with the name "Users". If the group doesn't have a possibility to Delete a page see the next steps.

6. Click on "Edit Permissions".

7. Type your password to your Confluence platform and click "Confirm"

This step is optional if you have already made some changes to permissions of that Space today.

8. Check the "Delete" check-box.

9. Click on the "Save all" button.

10. When the changes are made, move on to check if a person is a member of this group.

11. Click on the "Administrations".

12. Click on "User Management" option.

13. Click on the user you want to give permissions.

14. In the profile menu, click on "Add group"

15. Among the existing groups find the one you need.

Previously we have changed the permissions to group "users", so that is why here we add this one.

16. Click on "Add group".

17. Check if the person was added.

So that you have added one more member to the group "users", which has abilities to delete some pages is the Space "Testspace". If you want to give same permissions to users in different space repeat the actions, choosing another space in "Space Directory".
