Emergency Plan

Primary Survey

Shock

• Def. = failure of circulatory system• Types

– hypovolemic– psychogenic– anaphylactic– metabolic

• Signs and Symptoms– pale, cool, clammy skin– restlessness, anxiety– dilated pupils– rapid/weak pulse– rapid/shallow respiration– decreased b/p

Shock (Cont.)• Treatment

Secondary Survey
