The explosion proof iPhones are originally manufactured by Apple than converted and cer�fied according to the ATEX direc�ves by Atexxo Manufacturing B.V. This makes the phones suited for safe use in gas /vapor zone 2 hazardous loca�ons. ATEX Zone 2 is the European equivalent for US, NEC Class 1 Division 2 equipment. (C1D2) Compliance with ATEX / EX regula�ons is achieved by modifica�on of the casing together with the intrinsically safe electrical circuit, which makes the phones suitable for safe use in hazardous loca�ons. All features of the original product are preserved. Even the fingerprint scanner can be used safely at hazardous loca�ons. The ATEX iPhone 8 comes with a black case finish and is available for iphone 8 and iphone 8 plus both 64Gb and 256Gb versions. Beside safe use as a cell phone for telecommunica�ng, both versions are excellent for use as intrinsically safe video or photo camera with wifi connec�on.
