pressure from increasing global populations, economies and climate change. My work helps develop robust and

sustainable wastewater treatment strategies that will provide clean and safe water for reuse purposes.

Interested in exploring all aspects of sustainable water

reuse strategies including risks to wastewater treatment processes from emerging contaminants, risks in reusing

treated wastewater and converting wastewater treatment plants from energy consumers into net energy producers.

theoretical and experimental methods to study complex fluids, soft solids, miscible fluid

interactions, and biological systems. I am interested in multiphase systems and

mechanics of materials.

My ultimate goal is to provide detailed insight into the macroscopic characteristics of

materials and processes through an in-depth understanding of the fundamental physics

found at a molecular level.
