My Dear Brother Knights The last two months were very symbolic to the Knights of Columbus and our council in particular, for many different reasons; our Parish 75th anniversary school 50th our pastor Msgr. Dennis Luterbach 40th in the Priesthood, Father Swann Kim Ordination, Marian Hour of Prayer, Major Degree Exemplification, first Degree Exemplification, First Communion, Confirmation, CWL Convention, RCIA, March for Life in Victoria and all the other regular church and community activities.
All confirms that our Council through your Faith and Good Will indeed provide our Parish and Community with some good Deeds; that’s to say your were all a good examples of what our Order founded for by Father Michael J. McGivney. Let’s continue to serve rather than be served.
As Summer is near and many of you are traveling or visiting friends or relatives I wish you all a safe and enjoyable vacation. Thank you for your unconditional support. God Bless

MARCH FOR LIFE
Brother Knights, do you realize that our unity, our faith, and strength can lead us to reach the succsess in making our Country and the World a much better place to live by having the mutual respect for one another and help those who cannot help themselves. Last May 13, at the March for Life in Victoria I had this great opportunity not just to participate but also to listen to the voices of those who strongly advocate for the well being of every family, fitting with the principals of our Order. MARIAN HOUR of PRAYER May 26, again you brother knights did not fail to recognize the virtues of praying the Rosary as often as you can. I was very happy to see so many of you present. The Ceremony led by our Parish Assistant Pastor Father Dennis Flores who in his humble way gave us the spiritual momentum of devotion to our Lady of Charity.
The presence of our invited Parish Groups and their participation of praying a decade of the Rosary and offering Red Roses to our Lady were very humbling. God Bless you all. PARISH ANNIVERSARY Once again my dear Brother Knights, as I put my trust in you to help celebrate this great 75th and 50th Anniversary of our Parish and School, your good effort brought joy to our parish community and you showed that together we can achieve the utmost goals that we set out to reach.
Your ideas, talent and ingenuity made the Knights of Columbus Council 6855 Show Room the most interesting in the eyes of the visitors. The exhibit was well displayed; the most attractive was St. Paul Church replica, Pope John Paul II Stamp display and the excellent video presentation on the history of the Knights and Parish done by Brother Stan Leong which also includes the theatrical production of the Village people and Sister Act.
Also overwhelming compliments were received for your outstanding work with the barbecues and food served at the School 50th anniversary celebration. Thank you all. GOLF TOURNAMENT Your participation at this year District #23 Joint Golf Tournament contribute to another successful family and community event complemented by the perfect weather and the tasteful lunch provided by the Mylora West. Based on the popularity of this event, the players request for the possibility of doing it twice a year, something to consider in the future.
My sincere appreciation to those who participated as well as to St. Monica Council and our council golf chair Brother Amado Mercado, Jr. for making this event a success. JOINT COUNCIL BRUNCH May 30, a total of 80 members attended the annual joint council brunch. Another success and joyful occasion for our council and in particular having the presence of our council widows who are always very appreciative of our council good will in maintaining our friendship. This year we were privileged with the presence of the newly formed council St. Anthony of Padua # 14925. FATHER SWANN KIM Brother Knights, on May 22, it was very exciting to see so many of you at the Holy Rosary Cathedral in Vancouver giving your support to our council Brother Knight Deacon and now Reverend Father Swann Kim at his Ordination. Furthermore thanks to the finger food and cookies you all brought at his Thanksgiving reception, May 30. Father Kim expresses his appreciation to you all. CWL CONVENTION
