Model 1

My focus for this model was to think about what materials I was going to use and the gestures I was going to try to incorporate into the piece.

And also how to do all this with out using any glue

Model 2

For this model my main idea was to try to get as dynamic as possible with just using one material. I chose wire for its flexibility and strength.

Model 3

This model was a rendition of the last but was introduced with planer elements.

Model 4

I brought in a secondary element for this model. I kept the primary which was the wire. While building this only I focused on repetition and tension.

Model 5

For this model I brought over the idea of tension and repetition from my last model, but decided to try to use the wire as more than use a way to tie things together. I worked the wire so it could much more of a purpose.

Model 6

This one is a rendition of the last the model.

I decided to incorporate the circular bends of the wire but without having to be a spiral. I also tried to kept repetition but at different scales. After I built that I started weaving wooden sticks through it for some planer sections.

Model 7

This model was a mixture of all my previous ideas all compacted into one piece.

Main focus was tension and release.

Model 8

This one was a rendering of all my last iterations. I tried to incorporate bending, spiraling, weaving, hierarchy and planer elements all in one model.

Model 9

Weaknesses for this one was that it was way to symmetrical.

Some strengths were the way I incorporated previous ideas from my last models and also the strengths of connections in the model.

Model 10

For this model I tried to give the secondary materials a role as important as the primary. I wanted the viewers to experience the whole piece as one.
