RCIA Training for new people & teams as well as a re-

fresher coming the end of the summer. This will be a com-

prehensive in-service with practical applications for individu-

preparation for your RCIA process.

Please check out this link to what the Saints Sticker Book but understand that all the STICK-

ERS are included right inside the front cover of each book... so students actually "Build their own

History Book."

A series of workshops, especially for the new and nearly-new catechists of the Archdiocese

will be conducted this summer at the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center, One Peter Yorke Way,

SF CA 94109 . This workshop series, also known as Beginners’ Institute will be facilitated

by the staff of the Office of Faith Formation as well as some of the Master Catechists of the

Archdiocese. Starting this summer, workshop topics in the Beginners’ Institute will also have

February, 2019 TO: Pastors, Director/Coordinators of Religious Education and Youth Ministry FROM: Sr. Celeste Arbuckle, SSS - Director of Faith Formation RE: Pius X Awards – Thursday, May 9, 2019 The annual celebration honoring catechists, youth ministers and parish catechetical leaders for length of service will be held at St. Mary’s Cathedral-Patron’s Hall, 1111 Gough Street, San Francisco, CA 94109 on Thursday, May 9 at 6:15 p.m. The price of the reception is $30.00 per person. We are happy that Archbishop Cordileone will be joining us this year to present the awards. I hope each of you will invite your people to attend. This is for all catechetical personnel: Faith Formation, youth ministry, Baptism preparation, RCIA, etc. Thank you for your consideration. Enclosed are the following forms for your use:

Form A: Former St. Pius X recipients. Please check if they are currently active and invite them. If we have missed someone who is active, please add the name to the list and mail back the corrected list. We leave it to the discretion of the parish to invite former recipients/spouses and to determine for whom the parish pays.

Form B: Pius X Awards Form. Return by March 21, especially the awards

that need engraving. Form B2: Youth Service Award Form by March 21 for those youth who serve

your ministries and you would like to recognize. Form C: Pius X Dinner reservation Form. Return by April 15.

will be from 1 to 4:15 p.m. The July 27 workshops will

be at St. Veronica Parish, South San Francisco; the June

22 workshops — TBA. A flyer on the workshops with the
