April 1, 2018
Roll Back the Stone: A Litany for Easter
When we are all despairing,
when the world is full of grief,
when we see no way ahead
and hope has gone away:
Roll back the stone.
Although we fear change,
although we are not ready,
although we’d rather weep
and run away:
Roll back the stone.
Because we’re coming with the women,
because we hope where hope is vain,
because you call us from the grave
and show the way:
Roll back the stone.
– Janet Morley

“God’s Mousetrap” - A Seminar on Acts with Kempton Hewitt Saturday, April 21, 9 AM—Noon at Trinity This seminar will look at the narrative plot Luke cleverly weaves, making it evident that leaders are given a firm “dope slap” to point the way to deeper and broader directions of the evangelization of Good News. In looking back on how the world mission evolved, Luke chooses to ascribe its success to discernment of “where” and “how” the Divine was leading. And often that direction was against the path assumed by frail and flawed leaders and in a direction unimaginable in prior understanding. Sign up by emailing David@trinitylutheranchurch.com
