2 Entrepreneurship & Talent Development Cell
FOREWORD
Entrepreneurship and Talent Development Cell has completed 2 years now. In
the second year from its inception, the cell has taken remarkable steps by
organizing a series of skill-enhancing workshops for students, members of Self
Help Groups(SHG), etc. “Young Minds”, a campus company ( a company-like
formation of students) was commenced to let students not just learn skills, but
also practice them. “Vyapar”, a trade fair organized by students is yet another
manifestation of entrepreneurial and management skills.
On the talent development front, a bunch of guest lectures and interactions with
corporate persons were organized to facilitate deeper understanding of
corporate affairs. Again, student presentations organized every week under
“Corporate Gateway” that provides a platform for students to learn, analyze
and present various issues of corporate world. Apart from shaping their
employable skills, the cell went on further in arranging in-off campus placements
and got them employed.
A glance at the numbers will highlight the noteworthy efforts taken by the cell -
13 student workshops, 1 workshop for SHG members, 672 persons learning new
skills through workshops, 10 placements, 230 student-hour presentations of
corporate affairs, etc.
As many opportunities unfold, we step into the third year with renewed focus,
increased scope and heightened enthusiasm and hope to reach and include
many more students in our fold.
