Natalie Emmons: Senior Designer

Biography:Natalie Emmons is 21 years old which makes her one of the youngest members of the Netter Hoddies & Clothing Inc. yet she is one of its fin-est designers. She joined the compa-ny back in 2009 starting with simple designs for infant, animal towels and children’s hoodies. She later attended Grand Valley University in Allendale, Michigan and received a bachelor’s degree in the arts and fashion design; staying with the company part-time throughout her entire study. She has now returned and transformed Net-ter Hoddies & Clothing Inc. into one of the most famous and attractive clothing companies in the world.

Job Description:Emmons is currently the company’s Senior Designer. This entitles her to attending meetings with other clothing companies or potential partnerships. She also works with the head manager to decide what fashion shows they will enter and what spe-cific items of clothing will be entered in each show.

Emmons also works with the 30 different production managers of the company. Production managers oversee fashion designers; when new clothing items are designed they are taken to a production manager. If the production manager believes it is an excellent piece of clothing he or she then takes it to the senior designer: Natalie Emmons. Emmons has the final say on which items will be created and produced.

Achievements:The CFDA (Counsel of Fashion De-signers of America) awarded Natalie Emmons with the Womenswear Designer of the Year award in 2011 and later awarded her with the Board of Director’s tribute award in 2013. Her excellence in design has been recognized globally and within her company with other various awards and titles.

Job Titles:Emmons started off as a simple fash-ion designer at the entry level posi-tion at age 17. Her incredible sense of fashion and design took her to the position of Advanced Designer in the company. She later became a Produc-tion Manager which eventually paved the way to her success in becoming the company’s youngest Senior De-signer. She started small but worked hard to become a powerful and influ-ential leader in the company.
