MostReverendEarlBoyea,BishopofLansing,hasnamedDominicIoccoofHurdleMills,NCasthenewPresidentofLansingCatholicHighSchoolandKrystynSchmerbeckofDumfries,VAasthenewPrincipalofLansingCatholicHighSchool,effectiveJuly1,2020.

Mr.IoccopreviouslyservedasPresidentofJet-HotCoatingsforthepastRiveyears.DuringhistimeatJet-HotCoatings,Mr.Ioccowasresponsibleforincreasingaftermarketsales,buildingarobustdigitalmarketingsystem,withaneffectiveCustomerRelationshipManagementdrivensalesprocess.PriortoJet-HotCoatings,Mr.IoccoservedasProvostandProfessorofBusinessandNewMediaatJohnPaultheGreatCatholicUniversityinSanDiego,CA.Mr.IoccobringsskillsinLeadership,FinancialManagement,Fundraising,BoardRelations,andPublicSpeakingtoLansingCatholicHighSchool.

Commentingonhisappointment,Ioccosaid,“IamhonoredtoserveasthenextPresidentofLansingCatholic.ItisablessingtojoinacommunitythathasbeenashiningexampleofeducationalexcellenceduringthesedifRiculttimes.ThefactthatLCHSmovedseamlesslyintoremotelearningwhensomanyotherschoolsstruggledisatestamenttotheparents,students,faculty,andstaff.Thisfallwillbringitsownsetofchallenges,butLansingCatholicispreparedtodeliveracademicexcellenceineveryscenario.I'mveryexcitedtohelpleadthisfaith-Rilledcommunityandbuilduponsuchastrongtraditionofformingyoungmenandwomenspiritually,intellectually,andsociallyintofaithfuldisciplesofJesusChrist.”

Ms.SchmerbeckbringsnineyearsofeducationalexperiencemostrecentlyatSaintJohnPaultheGreatCatholicHighSchoolinDumfries,VAwhereshetaughtalllevelsofLatin.ShealsohasexperiencecoachingRieldhockeyandlacrosse.Inaddition,Ms.SchmerbeckbringsleadershipexperiencewiththeschoolHouseSystem,theServantLeadershipAssociation,andtheLatinHonorSociety.

InresponsetohernewleadershiproleasPrincipal,Schmerbecksaid,“IamexcitedtoundertaketheprivilegeofservingasthenextprincipalofLansingCatholicHighSchool.IRirmlybelievethatallCatholiceducationinvolvesteachingawayoflifesuchthatallmembersoftheLansingCatholiccommunity--students,families,facultyandstaff--growintothemenandwomenChristcallsthemtobecome.Iameagertojointhiscommunityandmeetallofitsbeautifulmembers.”

TomMaloney,SuperintendentofCatholicSchoolsfortheDioceseofLansing,stated"AsdisciplesofJesusChristandservantleaders,DominicandKrystynbringtheskillset,experienceanddesiretoadvanceandfulRillthemissionofCatholiceducationtoformsaintsandscholars.IamveryexcitedtowelcomethembothtoourLansingCatholicHighSchoolCommunity."

Mr.IoccohasaMasterofBusinessAdministrationfromtheUniversityofPhoenixandaBachelorofArtsfromCentralMichiganUniversity.Heresideswithhiswife,Kateandtogethertheyhaveeightchildren.TheylookforwardtoreturningtoMichiganandbeingnearfamilyinSt.Johns,MI.

Ms.SchmerbeckhasaMastersinPublicPolicyfromGeorgeWashingtonUniversityandaBachelorofArtsinPhilosophyandClassicalLanguagesfromHamiltonCollege,inClinton,NY.KrystynwillberelocatingtoLansingfromNorthernVirginiawhereshehaslivedforthepast12years.ShelooksforwardtodiscoveringthebeautythatMichiganhastooffer.
