Several kinds of coatings are currently used to ensure a better protective barrier against some ambient attacks and corrosion. This operation can modify the seizing and the friction properties.
Nota: in case of hot dip galvanising, the regulation allows:• On the threading: the addition of the necessary thickness for galvanising on the standard diameter of the threading• On the tapping: the machining will compensate the 2 necessary overthicknesses
IMPORTANT: take into account the above-mentioned note in case of implantation, as the threading diameter will be higher with the galvanising thickness.

Airtight envelope containing a volatile corrosion inhibitor used to avoid or stop the corrosion phenomena. The principle of this system is to transform the moisture present in the envelope into an anticorrosive aqueous solution thanks to a volatile active substance disseminated by the envelope itself.
