OTHER INFORMATIONS

•The activities of the Society will be confined to the territory of India.•To undertake and perform all such acts as may tend to accomplish the above objects.•In case of winding up/dissolution, the net funds would be transferred to institutions having similar objects and exemption under section 11 and 80G of the Income Tax Act.•The activities of the Society will be purely charitable / social in nature and not motivated for profit.

OTHER INFORMATIONS

•The funds of the Society will be utilized towards the objects and no portion will be distributed in any manner to the persons defined in Section 13(1)(c) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 The benefits of the Society shall be available to the general public

irrespective of caste, religion, sex or creed.

Membershipa) Membership of the Forum shall be open

to all the citizens / Non- Government Voluntrary Association / Organisation of the Ambur Taluk.

b) Application for membership shall be made in the prescribed form duly signed by the applicant and proposed by any one of the members of the association, accompanied with an application fee of Rs.100

MembershipThe annual subscription for membership will be Rs.200/- per year, payable before the end of the financial year. The Executive Committee shall have the powers to admit or remove members who default in payment of the annual subscription and also who acts against the objectives of the Forum.

MANAGEMENT.MANAGEMENT.

The Society shall have one President, five Vice-Presidents, one Secretary one Treasurer and two Joint Secretaries who shall be duly elected at the General Body Meeting of the Society convened for the purpose of electing office bearers of the Society. All the business of the Society shall be managed by an Executive Committee subjects to these rules and such resolution as may be passed from time to time at the General Body Meeting of the Society. The Patrons, President, Vice-Presidents, Secretary, Joint Secretaries and Treasurer shall be Ex–Officio members of the Executive Committee under the rules.To outline the conceptual background with focus on the To outline the conceptual background with focus on the behavior of consumer and car owners in Vellore District.behavior of consumer and car owners in Vellore District.To examine the present car market trends in India and To examine the present car market trends in India and Tamil Nadu.Tamil Nadu.

MANAGEMENT

In addition to the Members referred to in Rule 8, there shall be up to 20 (Twenty) Members of the Executive Committee who shall be elected once in three years at the General Body Meeting of the Society and shall hold office for a period of three years from that time.

All the members mentioned in Rules 8 and 9 excepting the Patrons shall hold office for 3 years and may be re-elected for subsequent terms also.

MANAGEMENT

The Executive Committee shall meet at least once in 3 months to enquire in to all the affairs of the Society and shall examine the Secretary’s quarterly reports.

They also shall discuss and decide all matters relating to the Society placed before them by the Secretary.

MANAGEMENT

If any of the office bearers or the Members of the Executive Committee elected by the members resign their seats or if any vacancy is created in the Committee by death etc., the Executive Committee shall fill the vacancy so caused within 3 months from among the members of the Society. The new office bearers or members to appointed shall, however, continue to hold such appointment only till the next General Election of the Society.

• The Executive Committee shall constitute a sub-Committee by nominating from among themselves or from any members for any specific purpose if need arise.

 • The Executive Committee is authorised to admit

members and to remove any ordinary member there of subject to these rules.

MANAGEMENT

• The Executive Committee shall arrange through the Secretary to hold the General Body Meeting of the members of the Society once a year and shall at that meeting submit a report of the working of the Society during the past year and shall submit the annual account of the Society for the year under report, certified by a Chartered Accountant.

The Executive Committee shall have power to frame bye-laws from time to time as may be deemed necessary for efficiently conducting the business of the Society provided such byelaws are not opposed to the Public Policies and Rules of the Society and all the members of the Society shall be bound by such bye-laws.

The Secretary shall give at least 5 days notice in writing of the meeting of the Executive Committee to the members there of and such notice shall specify the day, the time , and place at which the meeting is to be held and shall contain the list of the subjects that will be placed for consideration before such meeting.

Special Meeting of the Executive Committee shall be convened by the Secretary on the written requisition of not less than ten members of the Society, after giving usual notice of not less than five days

If at any time, there arise necessity to call for an urgent Special Meeting of the Executive Committee the Secretary can call for the same by giving such notice as is possible under the circumstances.

If any of the Members of the Executive Committee desire to place any matter for consideration before the Committee, they shall give notice of the same, well in advance, in writing to the Secretary who may place it before the Executive Committee by giving the requisite notice or include it in the next meeting One third of the members of the Executive Committee can form a quorum. 

MANAGEMENT

•If a meeting of the Executive Committee has to be adjourned for want of a quorum, another meeting shall be convened by giving at least four days’ notice and no quorum shall be necessary for such adjourned meeting.

•In the absence of the President or any of the Vice-Presidents, any member of the Executive Committee present may be elected to preside over that meeting.• 

MANAGEMENT

• All the business placed before any meeting of the Executive Committee shall be decided by a majority of the votes of the members present there.

• When there is an equality of votes, the chair person of the meeting shall have a casting vote and the decision of the Chair person shall be regarded as the decision of the Committee.

•  

Patrons :-

•There shall be five Patrons as advisors for conducting the activities of the Society. They are selected from the Ambur Taluk who have reputation and status in the society as philanthropists , educationist and their social activities.

They are eligible to attend the meeting and also eligible to vote

They are eligible to contest for the post of President/Vice President.

Their suggestions and advice are taken into account to strengthen the Activities of the Society One time Entrance /membership fee of a Minimum of Rs.5,000(Rupees Five Thousand).will be paid by the Patron.

President :

 • The President shall preside over all the meetings of the

Executive Committee and General Body

• In case the post of President falling vacant, one of the Vice-Presidents may be duly elected by the Executive Committee to act as President till a President is duly elected by the General

Secretary :

• The Secretary shall, subject to the approval of the Executive Committee conduct all the affairs of the Society.

• The Secretary shall be elected once in 3 years at the annual General Body Meeting of the Society and shall hold office for 3 years till the next General Election. In case of this post falling vacant one of the Joint Secretaries may be elected by the Executive Committee to act as Secretary till a Secretary is duly elected by the General Body.

Assistant Secretary :.

  There shall be in addition to the Secretary one Joint Secretary and one Additional Secretary for the Society and they shall be elected once in 3 years at the annual General Body Meeting of the Society. The Joint Secretary and Additional Secretary shall help the Secretary in discharging all his duties and shall conduct under his directions all the affairs of the Society whenever the Secretary may be either absent from the station or unable to attend to his duties. 

The Treasurer shall, subject to the approval of the Executive Committee maintain all the financial affairs of the Society.

The Treasurer shall be elected once in 3 years at the annual General Body Meeting of the Society and shall hold office for 3 years till the next General Election.

In case of this post falling vacant, one of the Joint Secretaries (may be elected by the Executive Committee) to act as Treasurer till a new Treasurer is duly elected by the General Body.

General Body Meeting : A General Body Meeting of the Society shall be held during the month of April/May The Secretary shall submit at the Annual Meeting of the Society a report on the concerns of the Society and paced the same before the Executive Committee and obtained their approval.  One third of the members shall form a quorum for General Body Meeting.
