Alternatives to Charging Electric Cars

Not all electric cars require outlets to plug into for a re-charge.

Of course, there exists the hybrids, which commonly mix electrically powered engines

with internal combustion engines.

However, main stream electric cars still require the ability to obtain a charge.

Countries Implement Different Methods for Re-Charging Electric Cars

Elon Musk with Tesla Motors has helped produce a mechanical snake-like device that can connect with Model S brands of electric

cars.

The recognized advantage of this contraption includes the automatic ability to start a charge in case the owner forgets or

something similar.

Alas, the unique charging station remains experimental.

Elon Musk only revealed the operational capacity of the automaton via Twitter.

Still, it could prove as a useful invention

one day.

Qualcomm conducts races by the Formula-E design of vehicles.

To keep the electric cars perpetually full of energy, coils exist in two different locations: beneath certain stretches of roads and in the

bottom sections of the automobiles.

As long as the coils from the two elements stay close enough to each other, an

electromagnetic field provides a constant re-charge while the cars maintain constant

motion.

Britain presently experiments with test roads that employ the same notion as Qualcomm’s

race tracks.

The difference between the two persists in the fact that Britain’s re-charging affects common road vehicles instead of those

meant for racing.

South Korea also established a stretch of highway that re-charges a fleet of electric

buses in a good display of efficiency.

From Germany, the Fraunhofer Institute has developed a method of not only wireless re-

charging, but its system allows for the dispersion of excess energy to prevent the occurrence of

power surges in an automobile.

Another Type of Vehicle That Could Rival the Electric Car

Different varieties of automobiles prevail against the trend of relying on just internal

combustion with gasoline or diesel.

Last year in 2014, French car manufacturer

Peugeot showed a unique hybrid that

combined the efforts of air and gas together.

Apparently, the vehicle can reach above 110 miles per gallon.

A hydraulic motor powers movement when using pressurized air, and the system re-

charges itself whenever the driver decides to apply the brakes, which re-fills the

compression tanks.

Urban areas permit the continuous use of the air driven feature.

Longer travels might require an intertwined mixture of the two techniques to add

mobility though.

Peugeot expects to debut the unique hybrid in the European market around the year

2020.

Finally, there endures another spin off.

Hydrogen vehicles behave like electric-only automobiles.

Its distinction arises in the efficiency of the chemical reactions in the battery.

At any choice, electric cars and hybrids allow a variety of ways to diversify on how to

fuel or charge a modern vehicle.
