CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS
In 2016 the construction of the new
cargo complex was started

AUTOMATED CARGO HANDLING SYSTEM
The new cargo complex will be equipped with the automated
cargo handling and storage system, which is unique for Russia.
The main provider of system solutions and terminal equipment
is Lödige Systems GmbH (Lödige Industries)
Seven-level Automatic Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS)
includes 3,198 loose/pallet cargo storage locations and
9 automated rail-guided stacker cranes
Sizeable four-storey Pallet Container Handling System (PCHS)
with a storage area for 576 Unit Load Devices (ULD), 60 of which
are dedicated positions for temperature-sensitive ULDs (t from +2
to +8°С)
3 elevating transfer vehicles (ETV), with a lifting capacity of up
to 13.6 tonnes each, designed to efficiently handle 10”, 16” and
20” ULDs. Each ETV unit can achieve horizontal speeds of 120
m/min and vertical speeds of 60 m/min
13 conveyor lines with access to the apron including the one
dedicated for handling 20 foot cargo pallets
29 points for cargo receipt and delivery equipped with truck
docks and dock shelters, 2 of which are dedicated for heavy and
oversized cargo (including cars) and 2 – for express cargo and
courier parcels PCHS for PER ULDs

TERMINAL EQUIPMENT
The complex will offer its customers all kind of
state-of-the-art machinery for handling cargo
High-tech equipment for loading and unloading
aircrafts
36 workstations for the build-up and break-down of
10” ULDs and 1 dedicated for handling 20” ULDs
20 of the build-up and break-down workstations are
equipped with hydraulic lifting gear and weighing
system
Ball mats designed to manually and safely transfer
the cargo-pallets and ULDs in omni-directions
Automated sorting system for handling express
shipments
BULK cargo will be put into “house” 5-foot containers
(LD4) and will be transported and handled further on as
palletized cargo.
