CONSTRUCTION WORK QUÉBEC/JEAN-LESAGE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (CYQB)

SUMMER 2017 (Replaces AIP Supplement 8/17)

Three (3) major projects from April to December 2017

Major construction work will be done on the airport airside at Québec/Jean-Lesage International Airport (CYQB) resulting in important changes in the use of the runways, their access, and movement on the taxiways and ramps.

24 April to 24 November 2017 – Construction of aircraft parking 33-37 Apron I

• Gates 33 to 37 will be closed for the duration of the construction period

• Apron I, south of Taxiway Delta, will be closed from 22 May to 09 August 2017

• Entrances D1, D2 and D3 to Apron I will be closed from 22 May to 09 August 2017 due to a temporary construction fence

22 May to 09 August 2017 – Construction of aircraft parking 32 Apron I

• Gates 32 will be closed for the duration of the construction period

• Temporary construction fence will be east of Gate 31

• Entrances D1, D2, and D3 to Apron I will be closed from 22 May to 09 August 2017 due to a temporary construction fence

22 May to 09 August 2017 – Repaving and electrical work Runway 06-24

• Work 24 hours a day

• Runway 06-24 will be closed

• Taxiway Alpha will be closed from 26 June to 09 August 2017

• Taxiways Echo will be closed for the duration of work period

• Taxiway Golf will be closed from 22 May to 15 June 2017

• Taxiway Hotel will be closed from 22 May to 15 June 2017

• Northern field will be closed to helicopter training

• No touch-and-go will be allowed on Runway 11-29 between the hours of 0900Z to 1300Z and 2100Z to 0000Z daily during this period

• Runway 06: will be unavailable for CAT I precision approach

• Runway 24: will be unavailable for RNAV approach

• The work being conducted over the next few weeks will affect instrument approach procedures to Runways 06-24. Please review the NOTAMs in effect before proceeding to this airport.
