The Extent Of The Problem

• Counterfeit medicines, foods and healthcare products are killing people

• Counterfeit auto parts and electrical goods are killing people

• Counterfeit cement is causing buildings to collapse and so killing people

• Counterfeit agricultural products cause crops to fail resulting in starvation and death

• Counterfeit goods of all kinds destroy businesses, causing loss of jobs and loss of hope for a better future

• Problems which, in any environment, would be acute are more so in Africa.
