Get up early

• Biologist Christoph Randler has pointed out that morning people get better grades.!

• Morning people anticipate problems and tend to be more proactive.

Take action

• According to the authors of “The Confidence Code”, taking action bolsters one’s belief in their ability to succeed.!

• Confidence helps you accomplish the goals you set.

Be specific

• Specific goals (i.e. “lose 15 lbs.”) are much easier to accomplish than just vague goals (i.e. “lose weight”).

Be smart and socially adept

• According to UC Santa Barbara economist Catherine Weinberger, smarter and more socially adept people earn more in the current workforce.

Think positively

• Positive thinking will help you see more opportunities, and can help you develop essential skills to improve your life and become more successful.

Develop a “growth mindset”

• A growth mindset allows you to learn from mistakes and realize that you have the potential to achieve whatever goals are set.

Embrace meaningful relationships

• A Harvard Grant Study followed 268 graduates from the classes of 1938-1940 for 75 years, and found that there were to “pillars of happiness”: love and finding a way to cope with life that doesn’t push love away.
