Accessing the Lancet via ScienceDirect

Step 1: Click on the blue ‘Elsevier ScienceDirect’ link.

Step 2: Click the login button (top right).

Step 3: Click go to Athens/institution login

Step 4: Select ‘OpenAthens Federation (EduServ)’ from the drop down list and click

go.

Step 5: Choose ‘NHS England’ from the list of institutions.

Step 6: In ‘Browse by title’ click on ‘L’

Step 7: Scroll down until you see the Lancet. Click on the link.

Step 8: Navigate to the article you wish to access. Click on the PDF link to

download.

Please note: The next time you access The Lancet using the same computer you

will see an ‘NHS England Login’ option. Please click ‘NHS England Login’ and then
