Tulsa Mayor’s wife – Ms Victoria Bartlett told the children a story

while quizzing them

“I spoke to the children at Penn Elementary School equating the

story of the Three Little Pigs to building a strong body and a healthy

life. The Big Bad Wolf represented illness, disease and scary death,

and the building options of straw, sticks and bricks represented the

choices of foods we eat. With poor eating habits, our bodies are no

stronger than a home built with straw or sticks and susceptible to

being brought down by illness and disease. By eating a complete

diet of healthy foods we are building our bodies to be as strong as

bricks and we will be able to resist the illnesses that could tear them

down. Well, the kids enjoyed the interactive story. I thought it was

better than laboring them with a string of statistics on childhood

obesity.”
