Taiwan, the CKS Memorial Hall was erected in honor and memory of Generalissimo
Chiang Kai-shek, the former President of the Republic of China, and was opened in
1980 as part of a national park and gathering area.
Taipei 101 - Taipei 101 is an engineering marvel and the first building of its kind
in the world. Spanning 101 stories above the ground at 508 metres, the building
was designed as a symbol of technology's evolution fused with Asian tradition.
The building features many pan-Chinese and Asian elements mixed with a
postmodern style, and is designed to withstand typhoons and earthquakes
common in Taiwan.
7
LongShan Temple - The most well-known temple in Taiwan, the Mengjia
Longshan Temple was built in 1738 by settlers from Fujian as a gathering
place for Chinese settlers. Located in the old village part of Taipei,
Wanhua District, this temple has stood the test of time and lasted
through several natural disasters and wars. Since the construction of the
temple, Taipei residents have continuously renovated and improved the
temple and the surrounding grounds, with the temple coming to represent
the pride of Taiwanese temples and worship houses, worshipping a mixture
of Buddhist, Taoist, and deities like Mazu. Longshan Temple is one of
largest and oldest temples in Taiwan. Entrance is free, but donations to
maintain the upkeep of the temple are accepted.
Sun Moon Lake - The Sun Moon Lake, located in the middle of Taiwan, with an
elevation of 748 meters above sea level, is the only natural big lake in Taiwan. The
southern part of Lalu Island is shaped like a new moon, and the northern part is
shaped like a sun; hence the name Sun Moon Lake. The most famous sights
around Sun Moon Lake are the Itashao, Lalu Island, the Xuanzang Temple,
the Ci-en Pagoda, and the Wenwu Temple and so on. The natural forests bordering
these roads are good places for bird watching. There are a lot of birds that live
on the mid-elevation, such as the Grey-cheeked Fulvetta, Grap-throated Minivet,
Formosan Yuhina, Gray Tree Pie, Bamboo Partridge, Chinese Bulbul, Muller's
Barbet, and the Black Bulbul.

Chih Kan Tower –Tainan Chikanlou(Chihkanlou)is built by the Dutch in
1652. It was originally called Provintia. In Dutch it means eternity. The
Chinese called the building "Chikanlou(Chihkanlou) ", "Fanzailou" or
"Honmaolou". Although Chikanlou(Chihkanlou) has gone through Ming
Dynasty, Qing Dynasty and the Japanese Colonization Period, it basically still
maintains its original look.
Cheng Cheng Kun Shrine - Cheng Cheng-Kung. After Ching dynasty control, the
places are then called “Cheng’s family household”, or “Cheng’s Family original
households”, and since it is situated on the north side of the Chun government, it
is also called Bei-Yuan, and then called Bei-Yuan residence. Ching Kang-Xi times,
Taiwan Xiamen official Chou Chang Fu made some additions to the place and the
County official of Chu-Loh, Ji-chi-Kuang called it “Zhi-Tse” Yuan.

Sanxitai - Formerly,Sanxiantai was a narrow and elongated cape into the
ocean. When the neck of the cape was eroded by the tide, the rest of the
cape was disconnected with the land and became an island. It is said that
three gods, named Li Tieguai,Lu Dongbin and He Xiengu visited here and
left three pairs of footprints. The isolated island remained unaffected by
human civilization and preserves abundant seashore plant species, and was
thus claimed a natural reserve later on. There is also a famous eightarch
cross-ocean bridge,a great spot to watch sun rising over the Pacific Ocean.

Qingshui Cliffs - The Cingshui Cliff is located on a segment of Su-hua
highway over a stretch of 22.7 kilometers beside the seashore. The

along the Su-hua highway to appreciate the nature's masterpiece in
Eastern Taiwan. There, you can see not only cliffs but also caves, rocks,
