A terrific effort from the team at La Gardine,
the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee des
Generations Gaston Philippe boasts incredible
aromas of allspice and mulberries. It's a blend
of 40% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 30%
Mourvèdre matured in new barriques, but the
oak is barely noticeable. This full-bodied wine
is creamy on the mid-palate and then firmly
tannic on the long finish, so give it some time in the cellar before popping a cork.
