• Personalized learning adjusts the pace (individualized), adjusts the approach (differentiation), and connects learner’s experiences and interests.

• The learner is an active participant in designing their learning.

• The use of technology, data, different teaching methods, and learning approaches combined to create an environment that meets individual learner’s needs.

Why transition to Personalized Learning?

The traditional classroom model

has some serious challenges.

Despite having different needs, all learners are treated the same.

Not all students learn at the same pace. The curriculum is currently set by calendar,

not by student readiness.

Why Personalized Learning at TRE?

• Promote student and teacher self-directedness.• Provide opportunities for choice so learners own and

drive their learning.• Total Students = 558• Gifted = 137 (25%)• SpEd = 77 (14%)• EIP = 71 (13%)• Non-identified = 273 (48%)
