Simple Calculation

The following formula gives an approximate determination ofWater Volume that can be treated by TREION™ resins:

BV = CF / TDS

BV (Bed Volume) is the Number of Liters of Water that can bedemineralized by One Liter of Resin when run to exhaustion.

CF (Capacity Factor) is • 425 for TSDI™ and FPDI™ resins• 550 for XTDI™ and UPDI™ resins.

TDS is the Total Dissolved Solids of the Feedwater in meq/L.

Example: A TREION™ TSDI.Std column containing 23L of resin and fed and with Waterwhose TDS is 2.5 meq/L would produce 23 x (425/2.5) = 3,910 liters of DI Water.
