The first working 3D printer was developed by Charles Hull in 1984 In 1993 MIT USA used the name “3D printing” and patented it In 1996, 3 commercial 3D printers,namely “ Genisys”, “Actua 2100” and “Z402” were launched Spectrum Z510, the 1st HD colour 3D printer was launched in 2005 In 2006,a self-replicating 3D printer called Reprap
was launched
