portfolio according to skills to be showcased)

What to Include? Graphics Demonstrated good design skills Demonstrated skills to organise the product

for maintainability and reuse, e.g. File naming conventions

Layer naming (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator)

Good and easy to understand structure (directory structure, CD/DVD structure)

What to Include? (cont’d) Code

Demonstration of selected parts, convincing the reader that you not only wrote code that works, but also that it is Commented appropriately (author, version, date,

maintenance history…) Tabulated Readable / re-usable by another person Uses accepted norms/standards (HTML, CSS,

programming / scripting language) Structured to support the production workflow! (e.g.

version control)

Portfolio ExamplesACTIVITY: In groups of 2-3 people:

Using what you know about the purpose of a portfolio, create a checklist you will use to evaluate electronic

portfolios in digital media

Use the checklist you created to evaluate the portfolio examples you found

Present your checklist and findings to the class.
